Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any tools to setup or use the mulTplate?

Included with the plate are hex keys (1/8" & 5/32").
In addition to that you may need from time to time:
- a circular saw (sorry my mistake, that was for my bicycle shed)
- small pliers or two open-ended wrenches (3/8" & 7/16") (very callused fingers would also do).
- a flat-bladed screwdriver or an appropriate coin.
That's it!!

What if I lose my Wrap-N-Staps (or someone takes them)?

Duct tape would work... but even better is thin bungee cord where the ends are tied together to make an appropriately sized circle. Wrap it around from anchor pin to anchor pin and if the tension is right it will hold the device securely. You can also check out Wrap-N-Strap to find where more straps can be purchased.

Does you plate work best with PAL or with NTSC camera?

Uhh.. both. NEXT

How come my unit looks different than in the pictures?

mulTplate is a constantly evolving product which is produced in small batches. If an obviously good idea comes to mind I will implement it. Feel free to tailor make your mulTplate to suit your needs. And pass on any ideas or particular needs back in my direction. You should note that all the screws used are either 1/4-20 or 10-32.

Have you sold a mulTplate to any famous cinematographer?

No,, although,, it not quite the same thing but I think one customer was infamous.
